One size fits most adult heads, with a few centimeters of adjustability.
This pattern is worked in rounds from the bottom up. The body of the hat is worked in a series of increasing and decreasing rounds to create a seamless, fitted fabric. The ears are worked separately and sewn on.
The hat is worked in double crochet, with a few rounds of single crochet at the very beginning and end. If you’re new to crochet, don’t worry! This pattern uses only basic stitches and includes plenty of photos to help you along the way.
This pattern is rated as easy.
You will need:
-Worsted weight yarn in two colors (I used Vanna’s Choice by Lion Brand in “Taupe” and “White”)
-Size H (5.0 mm) crochet hook
-Tapestry needle
-Scissors

4 dc = 1″
Finished hat measures approximately 10″ in diameter (at widest point) and 8″ tall (not including ears).

With main color (MC), make a magic ring.
Round 1: Ch 2 (does not count as a st), work 11 dc in ring. Join with a sl st to first dc. (12 sts)
Round 2: Ch 2 (does not count as a st), dc in same st, 2 dc in each st around. Join with a sl st to first dc. (24 sts)
Round 3: Ch 2 (does not count as a st), dc in same st, dc in next st, [2 dc in next st, dc in next st] around. Join with a sl st to first dc. (36 sts)
